This homemade barbecue sauce is tangy, sweet, smoky, and perfect for grilling or slow-cooking. It’s easy to make and much better than store-bought!


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional, for heat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions:

1. Combine Ingredients:

  • In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and all the spices. Add water to thin it slightly.

2. Cook the Sauce:

  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir the ingredients to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and reduce the heat to low.

3. Simmer and Thicken:

  • Allow the sauce to simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.

4. Taste and Adjust:

  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add more sugar for sweetness, vinegar for tang, or chili powder for heat.

5. Cool and Store:

  • Let the sauce cool to room temperature. Store in an airtight container or jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

How to Use:
